Facebook Introduces Live Audio
Facebook Introduces Live Audio
Facebook Live Audio is the latest feature from Social media giants, Facebook. Live Audio allows users to stream audio live from any part of the world. Facebook Live Audio works exactly like Facebook Live, it allows users to stream media right from their mobile devices to their friends/followers.
In a statement released on the Official Facebook blog, the reason for Live audio stems from publishers who wanted to tell stories on Facebook with words and not videos. We have seen some creative Live videos where the publishers go live using a static image and eliminating the need for videos.
Also, some publishers have complained about the inability to broadcast Live videos from places with poor network signal. All these can easily be solved by broadcasting only a Live Audio Feed.

Facebook also announced that with Live Audio, Android users will be able to continue listening to a live audio broadcast even when they leave the facebook app or lock their phones. Meanwhile, iOS users will only be able to continue listening as they browse other parts of Facebook.

"As we continue to improve the Facebook Live experience, weve been listening to feedback to inform the new tools and features we build. One thing weve heard is that partners want new formats for going live. We announced Live 360 last week, and today were excited to announce another way to go live on Facebook: Live Audio." - Facebook BlogFacebook Live Audio will be available for all users starting from early next year. Meanwhile, Facebook plans to start testing Live Audio with partners including BBC.
