Spice up your life

This book is similar to an interesting book I picked up lately by Stephen Williams called Super Sex Games: Be The Sex Pro Youve Always Wanted!. Williamss book was interesting in terms of the write up and the tips provided.
Hemmings with her background in behavioral psychology and as a relationship coach has written a book for the ultimate enjoyment in sex. In todays world most of us lead stressed lives that cross into all areas of our lives. We tend to ignore the enjoyments of life and how to get it. The quest for financial freedom takes the upper hand and everything else is shelved down the list until it is obliterated.
Hemmings book brings us back to the reality of life. There are gadget and tools out there to assist us in finding pleasures and joy if we seek it out. The book provides the whole plethora of games and activities one can indulge in to create some spice in our lives. Pop-up sent to underage children

Parents Beware, who have underage children who have kindles. They are targets when they are looking for books to read for book reports for school. When your child clicks on certain titles of books & then selects a book to review, pop-ups occur & if your child clicks on that pop-up you can bet it will be porn or porn picture material. Wheither its to read &/or pictures your child suffers the shock of unknown awareness do to being an underage minor. Once a young male experiences this it becomes somewhat addicting. So parents be careful as to which books your child is seeking it may very well be damaging to them for the rest of their life. This book was a pop-up and has caused great damage to some very young boys.

Virginia Slims got it right "Youve Come a Long Way, Baby".

I didnt find this quite as funny as it was made out to be, but there were moments I chuckled out loud. However, it was very informative, well researched, and very, very interesting. I wont go in to details, mainly because most of them are too gross for this forum, but its amazing how women were treated, thought of, and expected to behave back then; not to mention the general uncleanliness that was the norm of that day. I am beyond thankful for our foremothers that had the strength to fight for improving the lot of all women. I am also exceedingly thankful for hypo-allergenic makeup, the ladies aisle in the grocery store, showers, indoor plumbing that flushes, toilet paper, the ability to wear pants, and not to have to wear crotchless underwear under my skirts to so I can use a chamber pot with fewer issues.

Well-researched and full of nifty little bits of information on what Victorian life was really like for women. The author takes us back to mid-century 1800s and switches between US and England telling us what our life as a wealthy woman would be like going into detail about the naughty bits, the toilette, the marriage bed, disease, etc. She also takes us downstairs as we learn to deal with servants, housekeeping and cooking. The book is easy-breezy to read and the author takes a laissez-faire attitude pushing jokes and puns throughout. As a voracious reader of Victoriana mostly interested in the downstairs and back alleys, I didnt find much I didnt already know but it was fun having a book devoted to the topics. The only thing that annoyed me was the authors poking fun at everything. It started off cute but just got more and more irratating as the book went on, until I got to a point where I just wished shed stop. It would have been wiser, and easier on the reader, if she had opened each chapter with the teasing and sarcasm and then got down to the business at hand of imparting her knowledge.

I didnt like the way it was written as if the writer was talking directly to me as if I was transported back in time. If she called me Cherie, darling or other cutsie names one more time, I would have hit her over the head, if I could have.
I liked the content but it was so heavily buried by the tone and opinion of the writer that it really grew tiresome. Just give me the facts, right? Not in this book.
For the price, I would have thought they could have done a better job with the digital format. Every picture had a caption that was not with the picture but instead on the next page. Some of the captions werent even readable. For 18.00 I expect way better formatting!!!
I have read better books on this time period and I had high expectations for this book but I am embarrassed to even share that I paid for it. Its just so over the top cheesy. And it would be half the length if it wasnt inundated with nonsense.
